The Red Sea is well known, is home to many Marine Tropical & Invertebrates, which are in many instances more colorful than their counterparts in other areas of the World (1) . This is believed by Marine Scientists to be due to the UNIQUE properties of the Salts & their balance in the World famous Red Sea (2) . CORAL REEF SALT is made at the RED SEA with naturally made Chemicals from the RED SEA & surrounding areas. The Trace elements are distributed in the mixture by a NEW method that ensures total homogeneity (3) as well as an exact replication of the Ocean (4) .


Although the package is attractive, it offers a multitude of mistruths. The product is very inconsistent from batch to batch. It is not a replica of natural seawater. With such inconsistencies, it would be difficult to maintain a healthy and stable environment.


COMMENTS: Fish Color 1). The statement that marine fish from the Red Sea are more colorful is subjective. The Red Sea has periodic blooms of red plankton (thus giving the name, Red Sea). This temporary diet from nature can give richer colors to already colorful marine animals. Unique properties 2). The Red Sea and other oceans have similar ionic makeup. The Red Sea has a higher salinity due to high temperatures increasing evaporation and restricted in and out lets of that sea. Trace element mixture 3). The statement that this product distributes a mixture of elements that ensures total homogeneity is false. Manganese. Sample #1 was 10 higher and sample #2 was 40 times higher than amounts found in NSW. SEA WATER replication #4. The statement of “exact replication of the ocean is false. Major ions such as sodium are lower in both samples than NSW. Sulfate. Sample #1 was 13% less and sample #2 was 7% higher than NSW. 4) Bromide. Sample #2 was 13% higher than NSW. Magnesium is lower in both samples than NSW. Calcium #3. Sample #1 was 31% lower and sample #2 was 4.5% higher than amounts in NSW. Potassium was lower in both samples vs. NSW. This product varies too much to be a dependable true sea water substitute. Red Sea salt scored 33 out of 100 in the S-15™ Report™.
