![]() Reef tanks do best with a specific gravity close to their natural habitat. Marine fish do best with a slightly lower SG. This 55 gallon reef maintains a specific gravity of 1.024 at 77°F/25°C. This reef gets 10% biweekly water changes with 100% Marine Environment® dual phase formula. Filtration is a simple trickle filter using two cu. gallons of Super BI OX®. Lighting is five Spectrolamps. The aquarium also utilizes an efficient protein skimmer. |
![]() This spectacular 90 gallon reef aquarium maintains a specific gravity of 1.024 at 77°F/25°C. This SG is slightly lower than the habitat where these Pacific Ocean corals, sea star and clownfish were collected. This reef gets 25% monthly water changes with 100% Marine Environment® dual phase formula. Filtration is a simple trickle filter using three cubic gallons of Super BI OX®. Lighting consists of one (5600°K) 175 watt metal halide and one Actinic 03 fluorescent lamp. The aquarium also employs a custom made protein skimmer. |

![]() Specific gravity in this heavily stocked 125 gallon marine reef aquarium is kept at 1.024 - 1.025 at 78°F/26°C. The system receives a 25% water changes biweekly with 100% BIO-SEA® Marinemix. REEF SYSTEM supplements: Hydro-Safe, Aqua Cal and Coral Reef & Marine Fish Vitamins are used as recommended. Filtration is a combination of a primary fluid bed filter and oversized protein skimmer. Product water from the fluid bed filter and the protein skimmer each feed a trickle filter. The trickle filter uses 4 cubic gallons of Super BI OX®. The BI OX® trickle filter increases essential dissolved oxygen that is reduced by the fluid bed filter. The aquarium is lit with two (5600°K) metal halides and two 60" Actinic fluorescent lamps. |
